Terms of use

Scope and acceptance
These terms govern the use of the GeoMarco Sync app and the GeoMarco plugin for QGIS, provided by Ecobosque, Lda., Portuguese tax number 517246783, Rua da Cruz de Pedra, 199, Braga, Portugal. Use implies acceptance of these terms and of the Privacy policy.
The service is intended for professional use by companies and professionals in surveying, cadastre, georeferencing and related activities.
Free of charge and availability
The app and the plugin are provided free of charge, with no subscription fees, for an indefinite period, subject to the end of service described below. Google Drive is subject to Google's terms and storage limits.
Launch phase
The software is in its launch phase and may contain errors. It will be provided with reasonable care, but without any guarantee of uninterrupted operation, absence of faults, or compatibility with future versions of DiMap Pro, Android, QGIS or Google.
User responsibility
The user is responsible for:
- the data they collect and how they use it;
- complying with the GDPR and other applicable law when processing third-party data, including people and owners identifiable in photos or points;
- checking results before using them in technical work, official procedures or decisions with legal consequences.
We recommend keeping backups of your projects. The app only reads DiMap Pro projects and does not change them.
Acceptable use
The service may not be used for unlawful purposes, for surveillance or identification of people without a legal basis, or to circumvent the access limits of Google APIs.
Third-party dependencies
The service depends on third-party services such as DiMap Pro, Android, QGIS and Google. Ecobosque is not responsible for their availability or for changes to them.
Licence
While the service is available, Ecobosque grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app and the plugin, without the right to copy, modify or redistribute them unless expressly authorised. All rights in the software remain with Ecobosque.
After the end of service, the code will be released under the Apache 2.0 licence, whose terms will then govern its use.
End of service
Ecobosque may discontinue the service. In that case, it will notify users 3 months in advance, by email to users who have contacted us and by a notice on the geomarco.pt website. After that, the code will be released as open source on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 licence. Data stored in the user's Google Drive is not affected.
The user may stop using the service at any time by revoking the app's access to their Google account.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Ecobosque is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits or data loss arising from the use of the software.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, in particular for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or other cases provided for by law.
Trademarks
DiMap Pro and Alpha are trademarks of their respective owners. QGIS is a free software project. Google Drive is a trademark of Google LLC. GeoMarco is not affiliated with these entities; they are mentioned only to indicate compatibility.
Changes to the terms
We may change these terms. Substantial changes will be announced by email to users who have contacted us and by a notice on the geomarco.pt website, with reasonable notice. Continued use after the changes take effect implies their acceptance.
Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of the district of Braga have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the consumer's residence.

This English text is a translation. The Portuguese version is the reference version and prevails in case of discrepancy.
